
Our courses lead to fully recognised qualifications from awarding bodies such as OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examination Board), C&G (City and Guilds) and BCS (The British Computer Society: The Chartered Institute for IT).
We offer programmes in Adult Numeracy and Adult Literacy from Entry Level 3 up to Level 2 (Level 1 and 2 qualifications are equivalent to graded GCSEs).
You can use your maths and English courses to help you achieve a nationally recognised Certificate in Adult Literacy or Numeracy. These measure skills at an equivalent level to other national qualifications.
The qualifications that you can achieve are:
Composed of learning modules and a practical task using skills learned, ECDL Extra is designed to give a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of computer use and is a full Level 2 Certificate.
The qualification gained is BCS ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) Extra (formerly BCS Level 2 Certificate for IT Users). Including:
• Word Processing Software - ECDL Module 3
• Spreadsheet Software - ECDL Module 4
• Presentation Software - ECDL Module 6
• Improving Productivity Using IT*
*This unit allows the candidate to demonstrate the practical application of the skills they have learnt in the application units. The test is divided in to two sections - Performance and Knowledge.
